Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Senior Natural Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of large-scale enterprise systems. This role is responsible for designing and supporting complex applications, integrating modern technologies, improving system automation, and ensuring system reliability. The Senior Natural Developer will also provide technical leadership, support system modernization efforts, and collaborate with technical and business teams to improve processes and system functionality.
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Natural and ADABAS technologies.
· Support large-scale enterprise systems including enhancements, maintenance, and operational support.
· Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into system solutions.
· Develop and execute batch and online processes using Natural, JCL, and related tools.
· Support system integrations with external platforms and modern technologies.
· Provide subject matter expertise on system architecture and technical design.
· Recommend improvements to existing systems, processes, and workflows.
· Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation.
· Assist with implementation of federal and state regulatory requirements.
· Support testing activities including unit testing and validation of system functionality.
· Train end users on system functionality and enhancements.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and deliver enhancements.
· Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
· Assist with modernization efforts including migration from legacy technologies where appropriate.
Required Skills:
· 10+ years of experience programming in Natural and working with ADABAS databases.
· Experience executing Natural processes in both batch and online environments using JCL or similar tools.
· 2+ years of experience analyzing, designing, and developing applications on large-scale Linux systems.
· 4+ years of experience supporting automated child support or similar complex case management systems.
· 3+ years of experience providing technical architecture guidance and system design expertise.
· 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
· 3+ years of experience recommending system and process improvements.
· 3+ years of experience training users on software systems.
· 2+ years of experience supporting regulatory or compliance-driven systems.
· 2+ years of experience implementing regulatory requirements within Linux environments.
· Advanced experience with Natural programming language.
· Advanced experience with ADABAS database systems.
· Advanced experience performing unit testing and validation activities.
· Strong experience working in Windows environments.
Preferred Skills
· Experience working in Linux operating environments.
· Experience working with web services or APIs.
· Experience with Natural One or similar development tools.
· Experience working with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
· Experience using Jira or similar work management tools.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Experience supporting modernization initiatives and technology upgrades.
