Senior Data Governance Analyst

Position Overview
KēSTA I.T. is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to lead efforts that keep enterprise master data accurate, consistent, and reliable across systems.
In this role, you will drive the development, implementation, and enforcement of data governance policies and standards, partnering closely with cross-functional teams. You will oversee data validation and stewardship processes, manage complex data structures, and support strategic reporting and data quality initiatives.
This is a senior position with a mentoring component. You will guide junior analysts and help support enterprise-wide data governance education and training.
Success in the role means dependable data across enterprise systems and strong governance practices that enable data-driven decision-making throughout the organization, backed by continuous improvement.
This position is fully on-site in South Jordan, Utah. Candidates should reside along the Wasatch Front.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of data governance controls, tools, and reporting dashboards.
- Drive the development, implementation, and enforcement of data governance policies and standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise master data across systems.
- Oversee data validation and stewardship processes.
- Manage complex data structures and support strategic reporting and data quality initiatives.
- Identify and resolve complex data integrity issues and drive data cleansing initiatives.
- Provide strategic recommendations on master data design, governance frameworks, and process improvements.
- Oversee reporting cycles and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems.
- Mentor junior analysts.
- Support enterprise-wide data governance education and training efforts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of governance practices that enable data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI
- Advanced proficiency in enterprise platforms (ERP, data warehouse, and workforce systems)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Ability to work fully on-site in South Jordan, Utah and reside along the Wasatch Front
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in cloud-based data environments
- Familiarity with metadata management practices
