Position Overview

KēSTA I.T. is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of a large-scale, AI-enabled lifelong learning platform within a higher education environment. The platform is designed to deliver personalized learning experiences, skills assessment, adaptive pathways, digital credentials, and integration with institutional and external systems.

This is a new project, and the Project Manager will guide it through discovery, prototyping, development, testing, and production deployment. The role manages one large project across parallel workstreams, coordinating multiple technical and functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external technology partners.

The Project Manager works under limited supervision and partners closely with software engineers, UX designers, data specialists, and business owners. The role may also serve in a lead role and/or supervise lower-level staff. Success means delivering a technically complex product within agreed timeframes and budgets, with clear delivery commitments to stakeholders.

This position is hybrid, with three days onsite and two days remote each week. Candidates must be local to the metro Atlanta area.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the project through its full life cycle, from project definition and approval through implementation and evaluation of all deliverables.

• Track sprints and manage backlogs using Azure DevOps.

• Oversee integrations between the platform and institutional and external systems.

• Provide guidance to the project team and apply standard project management methodology.

• Maintain project documentation and communication using collaborative tools such as Confluence, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project.

• Serve in a lead role and/or supervise lower-level staff as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.

• Recent relevant project management experience, with a progression in responsibility (see ambiguities regarding the number of years).

• 3 years of experience with AI-enabled applications, personalization systems, or data-intensive digital products.

• 3 years of experience with learning technologies, EdTech platforms, LMS integrations, or workforce development systems.

• 3 years of experience managing products from MVP through production and subsequent releases.

• 3 years of familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS.

• 3 years of exposure to enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and Canvas, including system integrations and data workflows.

• Experience managing complex software development and digital platform implementations involving multiple system integrations.

• Agile project management experience, including sprint planning, backlog management, resource coordination, and release management.
