KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a QA Tester for an immediate contract engagement with our client.
Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced QA Tester to support software quality assurance efforts within an Agile development environment, with a strong emphasis on test strategy, test case design, integration testing, and comprehensive testing documentation. This role will focus primarily on developing clear, reusable, and traceable test scenarios based on business requirements, technical specifications, system integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
The ideal candidate will have experience testing web applications built with Angular and Java, along with specialized expertise in interface and API testing and Kofax capture and document automation solutions. This position requires strong technical understanding and the ability to analyze system interactions, API payloads, data exchanges, and integration points to create precise and effective test coverage.
Responsibilities:
· Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on business requirements, functional specifications, technical designs, and integration workflows.
· Design detailed test coverage for end-to-end interfaces, APIs, web services, system-to-system integrations, data exchanges, and communication channels.
· Create specialized test scenarios for document capture, data extraction, transformation, validation, and workflow routing solutions.
· Analyze business and technical requirements to identify testing needs, dependencies, potential defects, and edge cases early in the development lifecycle.
· Collaborate with product managers, developers, business stakeholders, and other project team members to clarify requirements and ensure appropriate test coverage.
· Review technical specifications, API payloads, data structures, and system component interactions to develop high-value and technically accurate test cases.
· Organize and maintain testing documentation, requirements traceability, test coverage, and related quality assurance artifacts.
· Use Jira to support requirements alignment, issue tracking, and coordination of testing activities.
· Use XRAY to manage test cases, establish requirements traceability, map testing activities, and maintain structured test documentation.
· Maintain reusable testing assets and ensure test cases remain accurate as application functionality and integration points evolve.
· Perform targeted exploratory or validation testing when necessary to confirm requirements, investigate issues, or validate specific functionality.
· Communicate test scenarios, coverage considerations, risks, and potential defects clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
· Support Agile development and release activities by ensuring testing requirements are incorporated throughout the software development lifecycle.
· Continuously evaluate test coverage and documentation quality to identify opportunities for improving the overall testing approach.
Required Skills
· 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing within an Agile development environment.
· 4+ years of experience using Jira for requirements alignment, issue tracking, and software testing activities.
· 4+ years of experience designing test cases for interface testing, APIs, web services, system integrations, and data exchanges.
· 4+ years of experience designing test cases for Kofax capture and document automation solutions.
· 4+ years of experience using XRAY for test case management, execution mapping, and requirements traceability.
· Strong understanding of testing web applications built with Angular and backend systems developed using Java, including microservices-based architectures.
· Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive test cases from business requirements, technical specifications, integration flows, and system designs.
· Strong understanding of end-to-end integration testing, API validation, data exchanges, and system-to-system communication.
· Technical ability to review API payloads, technical documentation, system interfaces, and component interactions to develop effective test coverage.
· Experience developing test scenarios for document capture, transformation, data extraction, validation, and automated workflow processes.
· Strong understanding of requirements traceability and maintaining clear relationships between requirements, test cases, and validation activities.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex testing scenarios to developers, stakeholders, and project teams.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify edge cases, dependencies, and potential quality risks.
· Ability to work effectively within an Agile team and collaborate across technical and business functions.
Preferred Skills
· Experience supporting complex enterprise applications with multiple integration points and interconnected systems.
· Experience with automated or semi-automated testing approaches in addition to manual test design and validation.
· Experience working with API testing tools and techniques.
· Experience with document management, document processing, or intelligent capture technologies.
· Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices and Agile testing methodologies.
