KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a .NET Developer for an immediate contract engagement with our client.

  

Job Description:

We Are Seeking an experienced .NET Developer to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain web-based applications within the Microsoft technology ecosystem. This intermediate-level position will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, quality assurance, implementation, user training, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have advanced proficiency in ASP.NET Web Forms, VB.NET or C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Microsoft SQL Server, along with experience developing database-driven applications, web services, and data interface solutions. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with team members, manage multiple priorities, maintain technical documentation, and mentor other developers. Experience with payment processing applications, licensing and permitting systems, data migration, reporting tools, and accessibility compliance is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

·         Participate throughout the full application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, technical research, development, testing, implementation, training, maintenance, and support.

·         Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web-based applications using Microsoft technologies and established development standards.

·         Build and maintain ASP.NET Web Forms applications using VB.NET or C#, with an emphasis on reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

·         Develop and maintain user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap, JSON, and XML.

·         Write and optimize complex SQL queries, database functions, and stored procedures to support application functionality and data processing.

·         Develop and maintain console applications, batch processes, and data interfaces to support system integrations and automated operations.

·         Develop and support web services using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).

·         Work with Microsoft SQL Server to support database-driven applications, data retrieval, processing, and application performance.

·         Use Visual Studio and source control tools to manage development activities, maintain code quality, and support collaborative development.

·         Participate in quality assurance activities, including unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, defect resolution, and application validation.

·         Research technical issues, identify root causes, and develop creative solutions to complex application and system problems.

·         Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, including application specifications, procedures, workflows, and support documentation.

·         Create and manage project work plans, track assignments and milestones, and coordinate development activities to meet project deadlines.

·         Manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently while maintaining responsiveness to users and other stakeholders.

·         Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve technical challenges, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

·         Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers and team members as appropriate.

·         Follow established technical standards, development practices, and application maintenance procedures.

·         Support application enhancements and maintenance for payment processing, licensing, permitting, and other business systems as needed.

·         Assist with data conversion and migration activities, excluding DTS and SSIS migration packages.

·         Develop and maintain reports using Crystal Reports Designer when required.

·         Apply accessibility principles and support compliance with applicable ADA Title II requirements.

Required Skills

·         ASP.NET Web Forms — Advanced (5–7 years): Extensive experience developing and maintaining applications using ASP.NET Web Forms. MVC experience does not substitute for the specified Web Forms requirement.

·         VB.NET or C# — Advanced (5–7 years): Strong proficiency in at least one of these programming languages.

·         Visual Studio 2010 or later — Advanced (5–7 years): Experience using Visual Studio for application development, debugging, and maintenance.

·         JavaScript — Advanced (5–7 years): Experience developing and maintaining interactive web application functionality.

·         HTML — Advanced (5–7 years): Strong knowledge of web page structure and markup.

·         CSS — Advanced (5–7 years): Experience developing and maintaining application styling and layouts.

·         Windows operating systems — Intermediate (3–5 years): Experience developing and supporting applications in Windows environments.

·         AJAX — Intermediate (3–5 years): Experience implementing asynchronous web functionality.

·         jQuery — Intermediate (3–5 years): Experience using jQuery for web application development.

·         Bootstrap — Intermediate (3–5 years): Experience developing responsive web interfaces.

·         JSON — Beginner (1–2 years): Familiarity with JSON data structures and their use in application integrations.

·         XML — Intermediate (3–5 years): Experience working with XML data formats and application integrations.

·         SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures — Intermediate (3–5 years): Ability to develop and maintain complex SQL queries, database functions, and stored procedures.

·         Console and batch applications — Beginner (1–2 years): Familiarity with developing console applications and batch processes for data interfaces.

·         Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) — Beginner (1–2 years): Basic experience developing or supporting web services using WCF.

·         Microsoft web application development — Advanced (5–7 years): Strong experience designing and implementing web-based applications using Microsoft technologies.

·         Full software development lifecycle — Advanced (5–7 years): Experience with analysis, requirements definition, design, technical research, specifications, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.

·         SQL Server 2016 or later — Advanced (5–7 years): Extensive experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and supporting database-driven applications.

·         Azure DevOps and/or Git source control — Beginner (1–2 years): Familiarity with source code management and collaborative development workflows.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Strong customer service, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a public-facing environment.

·         Ability to work effectively with a team, resolve technical problems, follow established standards, and mentor other employees.

·         Experience developing and maintaining procedural and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

·         Payment application development and maintenance — Beginner (1–2 years): Experience developing or supporting payment processing applications.

·         Licensing and permitting application development and maintenance — Beginner to Intermediate (1–5 years): Experience developing, enhancing, or maintaining licensing and permitting systems.

·         Data conversion and migration — Beginner (1–2 years): Experience migrating or converting application data, excluding DTS and SSIS migration packages.

·         Crystal Reports Designer — Beginner (1–2 years): Experience designing, modifying, and maintaining reports.

·         ADA Title II compliance — Beginner (1–2 years): Familiarity with accessibility requirements and their application to software development.
