Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Software Solutions Architect with strong Salesforce architecture and enterprise application development expertise to lead the design, modernization, and ongoing support of mission-critical software solutions. This role will provide technical direction for enterprise Salesforce implementations, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Field Service capabilities, while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with organizational objectives. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and technical teams to translate complex requirements into effective solutions, guide development and integration efforts, and establish sound architectural and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the end-to-end architecture, technical design, development, and implementation of enterprise Salesforce solutions supporting case management, field operations, user engagement, and other critical business functions.
· Establish technical architecture and development strategies for Salesforce-based application modernization initiatives.
· Evaluate existing Salesforce environments through platform assessments and org health reviews, identifying opportunities to improve performance, scalability, security, maintainability, and overall platform health.
· Facilitate architecture, design, and discovery sessions and apply Salesforce Well-Architected Framework principles to solution development.
· Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers, and stakeholders to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable application architectures.
· Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to application development teams, including internal and external technical resources.
· Lead Proofs of Concept (POCs) to evaluate proposed technologies, architectures, integrations, and technical approaches before full-scale implementation.
· Design and oversee integrations between internal applications, external partners, enterprise systems, and hosting platforms.
· Lead the development and enhancement of software applications, services, and server-side components using approved development technologies and tools.
· Establish and maintain secure application development practices throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
· Design application security controls that address organizational policies, data protection requirements, and applicable security standards.
· Ensure technical architectures, designs, and implementations comply with established enterprise standards, policies, methodologies, and development guidelines.
· Lead impact assessments associated with legislative changes, business process changes, user requests, and other system modifications.
· Review and approve technical documentation, architecture materials, demonstrations, presentations, and other deliverables used for technical governance and decision-making.
· Oversee the development, testing, integration, and deployment of application and data changes across multiple environments.
· Work with development teams and product owners to refine Agile processes, prioritize backlogs, and maintain release readiness and deployment schedules.
· Establish and monitor appropriate development, system testing, user acceptance testing, security, and production processes.
· Provide technical recommendations and make architectural decisions based on business requirements, technical constraints, security considerations, and long-term maintainability.
· Troubleshoot complex application, integration, database, and system design issues and provide technical direction toward resolution.
· Support highly available and business-critical applications, including environments requiring continuous operational support.
· Research emerging technologies, development practices, and architectural approaches to identify opportunities for modernization and continuous improvement.
· Maintain current knowledge of software development technologies, programming techniques, cloud and enterprise platforms, and applicable technology standards.
· Recommend configuration management, source control, build, testing, and deployment best practices.
· Identify and communicate opportunities to improve development tools, technologies, processes, and team capabilities.
· Support knowledge transfer and promote consistent architectural and development practices across technical teams.
Required Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience analyzing and translating business and technical needs into software solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
· 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience supporting enterprise application development and architecture.
· 5+ years of experience with Java, SQL, and web services development.
· Demonstrated experience designing and implementing CI/CD solutions, including automated builds, testing, source control strategies, pipeline-as-code, and automated quality checks.
· Experience establishing effective branching, code review, testing, and deployment practices within a software development lifecycle.
· 2–3 Salesforce certifications required.
· Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and application development practices.
· Experience with Salesforce capabilities such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Field Service.
· Strong understanding of application integration, web services, and enterprise system interoperability.
· Ability to analyze complex system architecture and resolve challenging application and programming issues.
· Strong understanding of application security and secure software development lifecycle practices.
· Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Strong written, verbal, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
· Experience working with software development methodologies, application testing, release management, and production support.
Preferred Skills
· Salesforce Architect certification.
· 5+ years of experience working in Agile software development environments.
· Experience delivering enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.
· Strong experience with Oracle SQL, including query development, execution, optimization, and performance tuning.
· Experience with DevOps practices supporting automated builds, regression testing, smoke testing, and deployments across multiple environments.
· Experience with Salesforce architecture, configuration, development, and integration at an enterprise level.
· Database-related certifications.
· Experience leading application modernization or legacy system transformation initiatives.
· Experience establishing technical standards, development methodologies, and architectural best practices.
· Experience conducting Salesforce platform health assessments and recommending optimization strategies.
· Experience with enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and web services.
· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and provide architectural guidance during high-priority incidents.
