KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Programmer Analyst for an immediate contract engagement with our client.
Job Description:
We Are Seeking a skilled Programmer Analyst to design, develop, test, enhance, and support enterprise software applications. This position will contribute to both new application development and enhancements to existing systems, including mobile and web-based solutions. The Programmer Analyst will work closely with application architects, business analysts, developers, and other project stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions that meet business objectives, performance expectations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and SQL, along with an understanding of modern application development and production support practices.
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, configure, and test new application functionality and enhancements to existing software modules.
· Develop scalable and maintainable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and related technologies.
· Build and maintain RESTful APIs and application services using Spring Boot.
· Develop responsive, single-page web applications using Angular.
· Write and optimize SQL queries to support application functionality, data management, reporting, and troubleshooting.
· Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
· Review application designs, source code, and technical specifications to ensure solutions meet established requirements and development standards.
· Collaborate with application architects, business analysts, and other technical team members to validate functional and technical designs.
· Provide production support for assigned applications, including issue investigation, troubleshooting, defect resolution, testing, and deployment.
· Diagnose application problems and implement appropriate fixes while minimizing impact to production environments.
· Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation related to application functionality, development, configuration, and support procedures.
· Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, testing activities, and application release processes.
· Apply established development standards, industry practices, and technical knowledge throughout the software development lifecycle.
· Support application performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability initiatives.
· Contribute to continuous improvement efforts involving coding standards, development processes, system performance, and team practices.
· Work effectively within an Agile development environment and collaborate across cross-functional project teams.
· Support secure coding practices, version control, automated deployment processes, and other modern software development practices.
· Perform additional programming, analysis, testing, and application support activities as required.
Required Skills
· 5+ years of experience with Java, including strong object-oriented programming and enterprise application development.
· 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot, including development of scalable applications and RESTful APIs.
· 5+ years of experience with Angular, including responsive and single-page web application development.
· 5+ years of experience with SQL, including writing efficient queries, data manipulation, troubleshooting, and working with relational databases.
· Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
· Experience developing and maintaining RESTful services and APIs.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze application issues and identify effective solutions.
· Experience supporting both new application development and enhancements to existing enterprise applications.
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
· Experience with Git or other version control systems is preferred.
· Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated application deployment processes is preferred.
· Understanding of secure coding principles and application performance optimization is preferred.
· Experience with mobile or web-based application development is preferred.
· Experience supporting Child Support applications, programs, or technology initiatives is highly desired.
· Strong ability to collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers, testers, and other stakeholders.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate technical concepts effectively.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality and reliability.
· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative development team.
