Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Database Infrastructure Engineer to design, administer, and optimize enterprise database infrastructure supporting mission-critical business applications. This role is responsible for managing database platforms, automating administrative processes, optimizing system performance, maintaining high availability and disaster recovery capabilities, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, Azure Cloud, automation technologies, and enterprise database administration, along with strong troubleshooting, scripting, and infrastructure management skills.
Responsibilities:
· Design, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise database infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
· Manage Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure-based database environments to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
· Design, implement, schedule, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows.
· Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, SSIS, and related technologies to streamline database administration, deployments, backups, and system maintenance.
· Monitor database health, identify performance bottlenecks, optimize queries, and implement indexing and performance tuning strategies.
· Troubleshoot and resolve database, hardware, software, network, and infrastructure issues affecting production environments.
· Configure and maintain storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise database platforms.
· Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery, backup, failover, and business continuity strategies.
· Provide production support for mission-critical database systems, including after-hours support when required.
· Manage database security, user permissions, and access controls while ensuring compliance with organizational data governance and privacy requirements.
· Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and integration teams to support application deployments and database connectivity.
· Configure application environments and support IIS administration where required.
· Implement security, performance, and infrastructure best practices across enterprise database environments.
· Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps initiatives, and automated deployment processes.
· Participate in infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience managing enterprise database environments using Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, and Microsoft Azure.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience developing automation using PowerShell, SSIS, or similar scripting technologies.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure, storage systems, and network architecture.
· Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated database jobs, ETL workflows, and maintenance processes.
· Extensive knowledge of database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and production troubleshooting.
· Experience administering database security, user access controls, and data governance policies.
· Strong understanding of disaster recovery, backup strategies, failover testing, and high availability solutions.
· Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and .NET application environments.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI Services, and Power Automate.
· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex production issues.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification.
· Microsoft SQL Server certification or other relevant database certifications.
· Experience supporting enterprise cloud modernization initiatives.
· Knowledge of IIS administration and application environment configuration.
· Experience working within highly available, enterprise-scale database infrastructures.
· Familiarity with infrastructure automation and enterprise deployment best practices.
