Job Description:
We Are Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join a dynamic team responsible for manual quality assurance testing of software applications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that IT solutions meet business requirements, are free of defects, and deliver optimal user experience. The QA Analyst will work independently and collaboratively across teams to define, execute, and document all phases of the quality assurance process.
Responsibilities:
· Review project scope and collaborate with Business Analysts to align testing efforts with defined objectives.
· Develop and execute manual test cases based on business and functional requirements.
· Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) training sessions in coordination with Business and Product Owners.
· Manage and resolve critical issues related to QA throughout the project lifecycle.
· Complete and maintain all required quality assurance documentation aligned with project processes.
· Participate in requirements and functional design review meetings to gain a clear understanding of the system.
· Work with Business Analysts and Product Owners to clarify and refine testing requirements.
· Prepare necessary test data and configure the QA environment for test execution, including system interfaces.
· Track and manage defects, ensuring traceability to user stories and collaborating with developers on resolutions.
· Partner with Product Owners to assign defect severity levels and support prioritization in the project backlog.
· Lead defect triage meetings when needed to ensure clear communication and resolution.
· Coordinate closely with Technical Leads and Developers to clarify and resolve defects.
· Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to provide usability feedback and support interface testing.
· Work alongside QA Specialists on complex projects and unique deliverables.
· Contribute QA metrics and insights to inform Go/No-Go project decisions.
Required Skills:
· 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing
· Proficiency working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
· Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
· Certification in Quality Assurance testing or completion of 24 semester hours in IT coursework
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify defects and improve application quality
