Position Overview

KēSTA I.T. is seeking a senior-level Database Administrator with deep PostgreSQL expertise to support Postgres applications running in AWS for am organization.

In this role, you will provide expert guidance on PostgreSQL databases and work side by side with software development resources to design effective, optimized database solutions. You will also review cloud logs and interpret the results, giving technical and business partners the insight they need.

Clear communication is central to this position. You will share findings, recommendations, and technical trade-offs with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you will collaborate with the client's team to support ongoing application and database needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on PostgreSQL databases supporting Postgres applications running in AWS.
• Work side by side with software development resources to design effective and optimized database solutions.
• Review cloud logs and interpret the results to provide insight to technical and business partners.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the client team to support ongoing application and database needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), at a senior level.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL (Postgres), with extensive mastery and understanding of the platform.
• Experience supporting Postgres applications running in AWS, including reviewing cloud logs and interpreting results.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with software development resources to design effective and optimized solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to be an effective communicator, which is paramount for this role.
