Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to lead the administration, optimization, and support of enterprise data warehouse environments. This role is responsible for managing enterprise data architecture, ETL processes, code promotion and change management, security administration, batch processing frameworks, and system performance across large-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive Teradata and Linux experience, strong expertise in enterprise data integration, data quality, security, and troubleshooting, and the ability to collaborate with development teams, technical leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data warehouse solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Data Warehouse environments to support critical business operations and decision-making.
· Manage complex batch processing frameworks and enterprise scheduling solutions to ensure reliable and timely data processing.
· Oversee Data Warehouse change management, including code promotions, DDL deployments, and build engineering activities for manual and automated release processes.
· Manage Linux security structures for ETL servers, including user access, group permissions, and sudo authorization.
· Administer Teradata security, user access, roles, and permissions.
· Conduct data architecture reviews and technical audits to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and best practices.
· Design, document, and maintain data architecture, system configurations, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
· Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex Data Warehouse production issues.
· Evaluate, recommend, and implement new data technologies and tools to improve system scalability, performance, and reliability.
· Support enterprise ETL workflows and data integration processes across multiple source systems.
· Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies.
· Develop and enforce data quality standards, perform data profiling, and implement data validation and cleansing processes.
· Create and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies for enterprise data platforms.
· Lead initiatives to migrate legacy Data Warehouse processes to standardized enterprise frameworks.
· Conduct user access reviews and security audits while supporting remediation of audit findings.
· Collaborate with development teams, technical leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise data solutions.
· Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to development teams on batch processing, troubleshooting, and enterprise data management best practices.
· Support system upgrades, patch management, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
· Minimum of 8 years of experience administering and supporting Teradata environments.
· Extensive experience supporting enterprise Data Warehouse environments and loading data from multiple source systems.
· Minimum of 5 years of Linux administration and support experience.
· Experience managing enterprise ETL processes, batch frameworks, and scheduling systems.
· Strong experience with Data Warehouse change management, code promotion, deployment processes, and build engineering.
· Experience administering Teradata security, user access controls, and Linux security models.
· Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, data integration, and data quality management.
· Experience performing system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
· Ability to provide technical leadership, mentoring, and troubleshooting guidance to development teams.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous government or public sector experience.
· Experience with cloud-based business intelligence platforms.
· Experience with cloud-native technologies, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
· Experience supporting enterprise-scale data modernization initiatives.
· Knowledge of disaster recovery planning, security compliance, and enterprise data governance.
· Experience working with large, mission-critical enterprise data warehouse environments.
