KēSTA I.T. is seeking a Data Analyst for a contract opportunity.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Senior Data Integration Analyst to join our Clients Enterprise Data team. This role is crucial in transforming fragmented data into unified, scalable, and compliant assets that drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. This is not a role for casual query writers; it requires deep technical expertise in data plumbing, transformation, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Integration

  • Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows to consolidate high-volume data from multiple disparate source systems (both internal and external) into cohesive, enterprise-wide data models.
  • Collaborate directly with Data Engineering and platform teams to optimize data pipelines for maximum scalability, efficiency, and throughput in a high-volume data environment.
  • Mandatory hands-on ETL experience: Design, implement, and rigorously troubleshoot data transformation logic and workflows to ensure high data reliability.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data fragmentation issues, ensuring accurate data reconciliation and consistency across the enterprise.

Advanced Data & Query Development

  • Write, tune, and maintain highly complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts necessary for bulk data extraction, transformation, and database management.
  • Focus on performance tuning across both relational and distributed databases to ensure rapid access for critical reporting and compliance needs.
  • Ensure all data models and pipelines adhere to strict data governance principles and regulatory compliance standards within a regulated business environment.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Develop impactful dashboards and comprehensive reports using leading BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to provide holistic, easy-to-interpret insights to business stakeholders.
  • Support urgent, high-stakes ad-hoc analysis for business units, leadership, and external regulatory audits.
  • Champion data quality and integrity, serving as a subject matter expert on data definitions and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in a dedicated Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or BI Developer role focused heavily on data integration and ETL processes.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced, demonstrable proficiency in SQL (including complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning).
  • ETL/ELT: Proven, mandatory experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting robust ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines.
  • Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of relational database design, data modeling concepts (dimensional, third normal form), and tuning practices.
  • Compliance: Experience with data governance, data quality management, and compliance requirements in a regulated industry environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with financial systems, general ledger, or risk/compliance data is a strong plus.
  • Experience with specific commercial ETL/data integration tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud data warehouse environments (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift).
