Work Location: This position is Onsite

 

Job Description:

We Are Seeking a dependable System Administrator to support workstation deployment, system maintenance, audio-visual technologies, and video conferencing operations within a technical learning and collaboration environment. This role is responsible for supporting hardware and software systems, managing conferencing technology, maintaining inventory, and ensuring operational readiness of IT and audiovisual resources. The System Administrator will also support end users, coordinate equipment usage, and ensure systems remain secure, updated, and fully functional.

Responsibilities:

System Administration and Technical Support

·         Image, configure, and deploy laptops, workstations, and related equipment.

·         Perform operating system updates, system patching, and image refresh activities.

·         Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.

·         Perform maintenance and repairs on computer systems and related equipment.

·         Support end users by diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Audio Visual and Conferencing Technology Support

·         Install, configure, and maintain peripherals including printers, projectors, cameras, sound systems, and recording equipment.

·         Configure and support video conferencing platforms and bridge systems.

·         Schedule and coordinate video and audio conferences across multiple locations.

·         Prepare conference rooms and ensure equipment is properly installed and tested prior to meetings.

·         Monitor conferencing systems to ensure reliable communication.

·         Coordinate setup, teardown, and support of conferencing equipment as needed.

Inventory, Documentation, and Operations

·         Maintain inventory records and documentation for equipment assignments and returns.

·         Coordinate equipment usage and scheduling through calendar management tools.

·         Maintain operational documentation and support reporting metrics.

·         Support asset management processes including tracking incoming and outgoing equipment.

·         Coordinate technical support activities and equipment availability for users.

Operational and Physical Support

·         Perform physical installation of equipment including running cables and mounting devices.

·         Lift and transport equipment as necessary to support operational needs.

·         Work in various environments including equipment rooms, classrooms, and technical spaces.

·         Use tools required for installation, testing, and maintenance of technical equipment.

Required Skills:

·         3–5 years of experience as a System Administrator or Help Desk support specialist.

·         Strong troubleshooting skills across computer systems, networking, and audio-visual equipment.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

·         Working knowledge of SharePoint, documentation practices, and inventory management processes.

·         Ability to manage multiple technical requests and prioritize critical support needs.

·         Experience performing hardware and software upgrades and configuration changes.

·         Strong organizational and documentation skills.

·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

·         Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

·         Active Security+ certification.

·         Active Secret security clearance eligibility.

Preferred Skills

·         Post-secondary technical training in computer systems or information technology.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

·         Industry certifications such as A+ or Network+.

·         Experience supporting technical training environments or conferencing environments.

·         Experience supporting enterprise video conferencing systems.
