Founded in 2015 and based in San Diego, California, company is a privately held residential real estate financing company specializing in Non-QM loans through its wholesale and correspondent origination channel.


Job Purpose:


In Search of a Secondary / Capital Markets Analyst. The Secondary / Capital Markets Analyst will be responsible for assisting in all areas related to mortgage trading, pricing, locking and products for loan programs offered by the Company. This position will report trends and determine appropriate and cost-efficient solutions to maximize the company’s net income. This position is full-time and hybrid for the right candidate. This position reports to the President.


Secondary / Capital Markets Trading Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to identify trading opportunities and risks
  • Monitor pricing and loan level revenue in compliance with company guidelines
  • Monitor locks and lock extensions
  • Research additional investor/investment vehicles to secure improved pricing
  • Manage interest rate risk, optimizing the profitability of the pipeline
  • Analyze and evaluate the performance of the hedged pipeline, making adjustments to assumptions and process as necessary to optimize returns
  • Stay current with changes in market regulations and industry best practices
  • Assist in the daily capital markets activities of inputting trades, creating reports, and/or analyzing data

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

·        Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred

·        Minimum of 2 years of experience in trading Non-QM loans preferred

  • Deep understanding of the MBS market, strong analytical skills, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions

·        Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

·        Proven track record of successful trading and pipeline management

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

·        Strong attention to detail and accuracy

·        Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

 

Job Type: Full - time opportunity with full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision

Job Location: The ideal candidate can work a hybrid schedule, but the company is open to remote work. The candidate will need to train and come to San Diego for meetings as needed.
