HR Business Partner
Aliniti is hiring an HR Business Partner to support our growing consulting team.
This role is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who enjoys variety, client service, problem-solving, and helping small to mid-sized businesses strengthen their people practices.
As an HR Business Partner, you will work directly with clients on a mix of HR compliance, employee relations, organizational development, workforce planning, talent tools, and leadership support. This is not a traditional internal HR role — you’ll support multiple client organizations and help them navigate real-time HR challenges while improving processes, reducing risk, and building stronger teams.
What you'll do
- Respond to client HR questions related to wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, workers’ compensation, employee relations, and general compliance
- Support HR audits, compliance reviews, and risk-reduction efforts
- Research employment regulations and HR best practices
- Assist with return-to-work, claims, compensation, and workforce-related projects
- Support job benchmarking, position overviews, interview guides, talent reports, and employee development planning
- Help facilitate client workshops, meetings, and organizational development initiatives
- Contribute to internal process improvement, client deliverables, and brand-building efforts
What we're looking for
- HR generalist, HRBP, HR Manager, employee relations, compliance, OD, or HR consulting experience
- Strong HR fundamentals: employment law, compliance, and the judgment to apply both
- A consultant's instincts: asks good questions, reads a room, builds trust fast
- Comfort moving between tactical compliance and big-picture organizational work
- Clear, plain-English communication that lands with shop-floor supervisors and owners alike
- Self-direction that thrives in a small firm where you own your work
