Turning CNC Lathe Machinist - Openings on 1st shift!
Positrol Workholding, a workholding equipment manufacturer, is seeking a CNC Turning Lathe Machinist to join their team.
We are a family-owned company that designs and builds custom work holding for round parts or parts machined in rotating machine tools (lathes, gear cutting machines, OD, ID grinders, etc.). This is a high-mix, low-volume shop.
We offer flex time, but each shift is a minimum of 8 hours. 2nd shift usually starts around 4 PM and ends around 2 AM, but again it is flexible.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience programming lathes with conversational control language
- Experience with Romi, Okuma or Fryer lathes is a plus
- Must be able to execute multiple setups per day and run small lot sizes with quantities ranging from approx. 1-6 pcs.
- Ability to read and interpret prints
- Basic math and trigonometry skills
- Willingness to work overtime required on a weekly basis
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and lift 50 lbs
