Maintenance Technician

$23–$30/hour, based on experience and skill level | Cincinnati, OH

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | On-Call Rotation

We're hiring Maintenance Technicians across multiple experience levels to help maintain our apartment communities and provide outstanding service to our residents. Your starting pay and level of responsibility will be based on the experience and technical skills you bring to the team.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and skill level, responsibilities may include:

• Complete apartment maintenance work orders and general property repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other general maintenance issues
• Complete apartment turns, make-ready work, and property upkeep
• Diagnose maintenance problems and determine practical, lasting solutions
• Manage and update work orders using an iPhone-based system
• Communicate professionally with residents regarding repairs, timelines, and next steps
• Coordinate with property managers, vendors, and fellow technicians to complete work efficiently
• Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and work areas
• Respond to after-hours emergencies during a scheduled on-call rotation
• Identify when an issue should be escalated or handled by an outside vendor

For more experienced technicians: You may also take on more complex troubleshooting, serve as a resource to less-experienced team members, and help train or mentor developing technicians.

What We're Looking For

• 1+ year of hands-on maintenance experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, skilled trades, or a related field
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and completing repairs
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage changing priorities
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Comfortable using a smartphone to manage work orders
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing and walking throughout the workday, climbing ladders, and lifting 50+ lbs.

Experienced Technicians

Candidates with 5+ years of maintenance or skilled-trade experience, strong multi-trade troubleshooting abilities, and experience mentoring or training others may qualify for our more senior-level opportunities and the higher end of the compensation range.
