Senior Production Manager – Consolidated Metal Products (CMP)

Cincinnati, Ohio | Family-Owned | Industry Leader Since 1945

Founded in 1945 and headquartered in Cincinnati, Consolidated Metal Products (CMP) is a family-owned, global leader in high-strength, cold-formed U-bolts, suspension bolts, and stabilizer bars for truck and trailer applications. As the world’s only full-line U-bolt manufacturer, we take pride in our innovation, energy-efficient processes, and unwavering commitment to quality.

The Opportunity

CMP is hiring a hands-on Senior Production Manager to lead and strengthen production operations across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a senior leadership role focused on improving accountability, developing frontline leaders, increasing production consistency, and using operational data to drive better decisions.

This is not a behind-the-desk production role. The right person will be visible on the floor, actively engaged with supervisors and group leaders, and comfortable leading in a deadline-driven environment where safety, quality, output, and follow-through all matter.

The Senior Production Manager will initially oversee Production Supervisors, group leaders, and approximately 100 production employees across two shifts. Over time, this role may have the opportunity to grow into broader operational leadership responsibility, including potential advancement into a Director-level operations role overseeing production , maintenance, and shipping.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily production performance to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
  • Manage, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and frontline leaders
  • Strengthen accountability around procedures, safety expectations, quality standards, and corrective actions
  • Use production metrics and operational data to identify gaps, trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
  • Partner cross functionally to solve problems and keep production moving
  • Support workforce planning, staffing, training, performance management, and promotion readiness
  • Partner with leadership on production budgeting, labor planning, cost control, and long-term operational priorities
  • Build a stronger culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

  • Senior-level production, manufacturing, or plant leadership experience in a hands-on industrial environment
  • Experience leading supervisors, team leads, group leaders, or other frontline production leaders
  • Experience in hands-on industrial environments such as automotive manufacturing, steel, metal forming, welding, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to create accountability and improve consistency in production execution
  • Strong critical thinking, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using production data and metrics to drive improvement
  • Ability to lead in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment with competing priorities
  • Strong judgment around hiring, coaching, discipline, performance management, and team development
  • Degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be strongly considered

Why CMP?

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Fun company events (fishing tournaments, bowling, Topgolf, paintball, and more)
  • Long-term career stability in a respected, family-owned company

We take pride in offering a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility where your craftsmanship is recognized and your ideas are heard.
