Nexterra Environmental – VP of Sales

The Opportunity

The Vice President of Sales is a senior executive role within Nexterra Environmental, a private equity–backed platform in the erosion control/stormwater space. This is a true build-and-scale opportunity: you’ll own the commercial engine across operating companies – driving organic growth, gross profit and margin expansion, and value creation through disciplined execution and strategic M&A.

Who this role is for

This is a blank canvas for a leader who wants to build and personally drive the commercial engine. You’re not looking to “oversee sales.” You want to set the standards, install the cadence, choose the tools, define the KPIs, and build the accountability that scales across markets.

You still enjoy being in-market with teams and customers, and you’re comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution. You’re steady, direct, and relationship-driven. You care about winning, but you care just as much about building an organization people are proud to be part of.

What you’ll own

  • Platform-level sales strategy + go-to-market planning and execution
  • A consistent sales operating rhythm: process, cadence, forecasting, accountability
  • Build and lead Corporate/National Accounts strategy
  • KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting
  • Sales technology evaluation and rollout
  • Pricing optimization / margin expansion analytics and discipline
  • Sales compensation design/standardization and performance management
  • Commercial support for supplier strategy and M&A integration of new acquisitions
  • Board-facing reporting on sales performance/KPIs

What You’ll Bring

  • Senior sales leadership experience in erosion control and/or stormwater markets
  • Proven ability to scale sales teams and systems across multiple teams/markets
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen (revenue, gross profit, margin, pricing discipline)
  • Private equity–backed platform experience (preferred)
  • M&A diligence and integration experience (preferred)
  • Comfort operating in a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves environment with strong local leaders and relationships
