Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

About the Opportunity

Corterra Group is a growing family of companies specializing in electrical control systems, custom wire harnesses, and integrated industrial solutions. With an established growth strategy and ambitious expansion plans, including strategic acquisitions, Corterra is ready to bring on a Chief Revenue Officer who can help turn that vision into reality.

Corterra has a strong product offering, an established sales foundation, and meaningful opportunities ahead. What's needed now is a leader who can develop and scale the commercial organization, expand strategic customer relationships, and bring the structure and leadership needed to support continued growth.

Equally important is how that growth is achieved. Guided by its philosophy of "Creating Meaningful Connections," Corterra is a faith-rooted organization that believes business success and taking care of people go hand in hand. Its commitment to developing people personally, professionally, and spiritually is central to how the organization operates, leads, and grows.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll join the executive leadership team with the opportunity to influence business strategy, develop leaders, and make a lasting impact on an organization entering an exciting new chapter.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the growth strategy. Translate Corterra's long-term vision into actionable sales strategies, identifying new markets, industry verticals, and opportunities to expand revenue across its family of companies.
  • Build and scale the sales organization. Evaluate the current team structure, develop talent, strengthen sales leadership capabilities, and establish the accountability needed to support continued growth.
  • Drive commercial performance. Leverage established sales processes and tools, including HubSpot and ZoomInfo, to improve pipeline management, forecasting, sales effectiveness, and revenue generation.
  • Develop strategic relationships. Build executive-level relationships with customers, identify opportunities to expand existing accounts, and establish Corterra as a long-term strategic partner.
  • Strengthen commercial discipline. Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other leaders to improve pricing strategies, protect margins, and ensure customer commitments translate into profitable results.
  • Support acquisition-driven growth. Partner with executive leadership to evaluate market opportunities, contribute to commercial due diligence, and help integrate sales strategies and customer relationships across acquired companies.
  • Develop a high-performing culture. Lead through collaboration, coaching, and accountability while encouraging creativity, continuous improvement, and a people-first approach.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven B2B sales leadership experience within industrial automation, robotics, electrical controls, industrial electronics, or closely related technical products and equipment.
  • A demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth, developing effective go-to-market strategies, and building or scaling successful sales teams.
  • Experience selling complex technical products or solutions and developing relationships with senior-level decision-makers.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, including coaching teams, developing opportunities, and driving execution.
  • Strong commercial judgment and experience with sales forecasting, CRM systems, pricing, and profitability.
  • A collaborative, servant-leadership approach grounded in humility, integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to developing others.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. Experience with M&A, commercial due diligence, or post-acquisition integration is highly preferred.

You don't need to have held the CRO title. An accomplished VP of Sales who is ready to take on broader executive responsibility could be an excellent fit. A strong sales background is more important than extensive marketing experience.

Why Join Corterra?

  • Make a meaningful impact. Help shape the future of a growing organization with an established growth strategy and significant opportunities for expansion.
  • Influence the business at the highest level. Work directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive strategic decisions and organizational growth.
  • Build something lasting. Develop a scalable sales organization with the benefit of an existing commercial foundation and strong technical capabilities.
  • Lead with purpose. Join a faith-rooted organization where caring for people, developing leaders, and building meaningful relationships are central to how business is conducted.
  • Enjoy autonomy and balance. Work in an environment that values results, creativity, and accountability without promoting an always-on executive culture.
