About the Role
We’re hiring an HR Specialist to support our clients with two things that matter every day: hiring great people and staying compliant. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with heavy client interaction. You’ll own the workflow and documentation for compliance and recruiting tasks, keep things moving, and escalate complex advisory items to an HR Advisor/leader.

What you’ll do (this role is split ~50/50)
Talent Acquisition (about 50%)
You’ll help fill a mix of roles – heavy hourly and skilled trades to start, plus some professional roles.
- Post jobs, source candidates, and keep pipelines moving
- Review applicants and conduct initial phone/video screens
- Prepare candidate shortlists/submittals for client review
- Coordinate interviews, candidate communication, and next steps
- Support offers and onboarding handoffs
- Track everything cleanly in the ATS and provide regular client updates
HR Compliance Administration (about 50%)
You’ll own the administrative execution and documentation for client compliance workflows, including:
- FMLA / ADA paperwork, tracking, deadlines, and client communication
- Wage & hour / FLSA classification support
- I-9 audits (tracking, documentation collection, exception reporting)
- OSHA logs and compliance recordkeeping support
- Unemployment claims and response documentation
- Workers’ comp claims coordination, tracking, and recordkeeping
- Support employee relations documentation and follow-up (complex issues escalated)
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years in HR admin/generalist support, compliance support, or a similar role
- Exposure to FMLA/ADA, I-9, unemployment, workers’ comp, or wage & hour workflows
- Strong organization, follow-through, and comfort managing multiple priorities
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, client-facing environment
- Good judgment: you know when something is routine vs. when it needs escalation
- Exposure to recruiting a plus
- HR Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) a plus
