Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading the sales team and driving new business growth. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing the sales process, and building and maintaining strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the energy market and a proven record of accomplishment of achieving sales targets.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capture them
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry developments
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management
  • Key performance indicators include: Revenue Growth | Sales Target Achievement | Customer Acquisition Cost | Retention Rate | Sales Cycle Length | Avg. Deal Size | Sales Pipeline Health | Sales Team Productivity | Customer Lifetime Value | Lead Conversion Rate


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales with a proven record of achieving/exceeding sales targets
  • 5+ years in a leadership role within the energy industry with a strong understanding of the energy market, including wholesale and retail energy procurement
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Capable of conveying complex energy solutions in a clear, concise manner and effectively managing internal and external relationships
  • Ability to provide actionable insights and strategies to improve team performance and adapt to evolving market conditions
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
