OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the COO, the VP of Supply Chain Operations will lead all supply chain functions across wholesale and DTC: demand and supply planning, sourcing and inbound logistics, warehouse and fulfillment, physical inventory integrity, and wholesale customer service. Primary focus is demand and supply planning and physical inventory integrity, anchored on a reliable source of truth for inventory availability and order status. This is a build role as much as a run role: this individual will implement the planning cadence, inventory controls, vendor scorecards, and reporting standards for the next phase of growth while staying hands-on in daily execution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand & Supply Planning

  •  Own demand planning, forecasting, and S&OP across all SKUs for wholesale and DTC, converting the demand plan into buys by SKU, size, and delivery window against open-to-buy
  •  Own available-to-sell (ATS) accuracy and governance so that wholesale reps, independent agencies, and the DTC site all sell from one reliable availability signal; publish forecast accuracy, fill rate, and sell-through weekly and monthly

Physical Inventory Integrity & Warehouse Operations

  •  Own physical inventory integrity across the distribution center, third-party fulfillment nodes, and returns; lead cycle counts, WMS data accuracy, and inventory control policies that minimize shrink and variance, and partner with Accounting on GL reconciliation, reserves, and audit schedules
  •  Own warehouse throughput and KPIs, including count accuracy, shrink, inventory turns, days on hand, pick and pack productivity, on-time ship rate, and cost per unit shipped

Systems, Data & Order Integration

  •  Own the supply chain technology stack (ERP, WMS, planning tools, EDI), master data hygiene, and systems integration internally, with wholesale customers, and with DTC e-commerce, including vendor portal compliance, routing guides, ASN and labeling, and chargeback recovery
  •  Build reporting that gives leadership, sales, and wholesale customers real-time visibility into availability, order status, and delivery performance

Sourcing, Vendor Management & Import Logistics

  •  Own vendor relationships across Asia and Central America, including pricing, lead times, MOQs, and performance scorecards, and manage inbound container flow with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse teams
  •  Own landed cost by SKU, customs and trade compliance, and dual-sourcing and nearshoring options that reduce lead times, vendor concentration, and tariff exposure

Wholesale Customer Service & Order Execution

  •  Lead the wholesale customer service function and own order execution from order entry through delivery, including allocation of constrained inventory, escalation of at-risk orders, and service KPIs (fill rate, OTIF, resolution time, backlog, chargebacks)

Team Leadership

  •  Develop the planning, warehouse, and customer service teams; define roles, accountabilities, and succession coverage, and establish a standing cadence of weekly S&OP, monthly business review, and exception management within a data-driven, accountability-focused culture

REQUIREMENTS

  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or related field
  •  8+ years in supply chain, demand planning, fulfillment operations, and inventory management in high-growth apparel businesses
  •  Direct experience managing China-based vendors and import logistics
  •  Proficiency in demand planning, inventory optimization, and ERP/WMS platforms
  •  Experience with systems integration, EDI, and data management
  •  Direct accountability for warehouse operations, cycle count and physical inventory programs, and inventory accuracy KPIs
  •  Omni-channel experience across wholesale and e-commerce
  •  Strong analytical and reporting skills, including advanced Excel and the ability to build operational reporting directly from ERP and WMS data
  •  Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, and independent sales agencies
  •  Experience in a private equity-backed, founder-led, or otherwise resource-constrained business, comfortable building process where little exists and operating without a deep bench
  •  3+ years in people leadership roles, with a track record of building and developing teams
  •  Able to be on site full time in Columbia, SC with occasional (2-3x per year) international travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Experience managing Central America-based vendors
  •  Experience scaling a brand through a step-change in revenue, SKU count, or channel mix
  •  Prior experience selecting, implementing, or upgrading an ERP or WMS

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  •  Base salary + Bonus + Equity
  •  Benefits stipend & 401K
