Opportunity

As a member of Boyne, the Interim Portfolio Controller/CFO will manage accounting/finance, tax, and treasury at the portfolio-level until a permanent hire is identified and onboarded. In this role, you may also serve as a supplemental resource to the portfolio management teams in executing key strategic projects. To be successful, you must excel in taking a hands-on approach to managing and prioritizing multiple projects to maximize value creation across a broad range of industries.


Responsibilities may include

  • Manage the accounting function including tax and treasury
  • Evaluate/establish policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
  • Assist in the development of strategic initiatives
  • Develop/execute the monthly close process
  • Produce and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports and complete weekly flash/KPI dashboard
  • Drive/participate in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the annual capital and operating budget
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
  • Support the integration of add on acquisitions
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
  • Coordinate activities with external auditors
  • Effectively transition and onboard the Controller/VP of Finance/CFO


Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Accounting
  • Minimum of 3-4+ years of audit experience at a national public accounting firm, Big 4 preferred
  • 3+ years in a Controller or similar capacity
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Experience in the lower-middle market is essential
  • Active CPA preferred
  • Experience in a private equity sponsored environment is valued
