Our client is seeking a Claims Technician Litigation to provide technical and administrative support to a busy Claims Division. This role plays an important part in maintaining claim data integrity, preparing reports and committee materials, supporting litigation-related activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of claims processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and administrative support to Claims Analysts and Managers
- Create and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and claim-related documentation
- Prepare materials for claim review and committee meetings
- Maintain tracking systems for claim assignments and file activity
- Ensure claim files contain accurate and complete information across required systems
- Create and distribute form letters and claim-related correspondence
- Assist with large account reporting and claim tracking activities
- Support document management, record organization, and file maintenance
- Process secure and encrypted documents while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Assist with medical record organization and electronic file management
- Order and manage database searches and maintain related records
- Provide backup support for designated claims functions and reception as needed
- Deliver professional service to both internal and external customers
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Some college coursework preferred
- One to two years of claims, underwriting, insurance, or related experience preferred
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Professional communication skills with the ability to interact with policyholders and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Technical Skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- QlikView
- Strong computer literacy and data management skills
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range is estimated to be between $60,000 and $75,000 per year.
