Junior Technical Services Assistant

Our client is looking for a motivated Junior Technical Services Assistant to support employees across the enterprise network. This is an entry-level role designed for someone eager to learn and grow in the IT field. You’ll gain hands-on experience in help desk support, PC configuration, and hardware/software installations — making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new systems, and working directly with people.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line help desk support for local and remote users
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain PCs, peripherals, and enterprise network connections
  • Install and update hardware and software across the organization
  • Assist with system disaster recovery, hardware repairs, and daily data center operations
  • Document procedures, troubleshoot errors, and maintain accurate records
  • Contribute to additional technical services projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and PC operating systems
  • Familiarity with hardware, software, networking fundamentals, and VOIP systems
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and set priorities
  • Physically able to lift and install equipment

Compensation

The pay range is estimated to be between $45,000 and $55,000 per year, based on experience.
