JOB SUMMARY

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing a team of employees, contractors, and managed service vendors to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes network, server, storage infrastructure, information security, application management, data communications, telecommunications systems, and enterprise help desk. The role involves scheduling and directing activities to resolve hardware and software issues promptly and accurately. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a lean internal team as well as MSP’s .

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Infrastructure Management:

• Design, implement, and maintain network and server infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Oversee cloud services (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability.

·       Oversee server systems (Azure Local, VMware, Microsoft AD, Exchange, SQL, EMC SAN, Data Domain, Rubrik).

• Develop and enforce support policies and procedures

Security & Compliance:

• Implement and maintain network security systems and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, SOX, PCI).
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor IT infrastructure staff, including network and system administrators.
• Coordinate projects for system upgrades, installations, and migrations.

Vendor & Budget Management:

• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors.
• Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, including forecasting for capital and operational expenses.

Monitoring & Optimization:

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Implement automation and optimization strategies for infrastructure efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VoIP).
• Experience with virtualization (e.g., vSphere, VMWare), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI strongly preferred, and storage solutions.
• Fortinet experience required
• Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial planning for IT projects

• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, PMP.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
