JOB SUMMARY

We're looking for a hands-on technician with an electrical/electronics background to service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial welding equipment — primarily power sources and wiring — while also supervising or mentoring service/shop staff. This is a strong fit for someone who has moved into (or is ready to step into) a technical leadership role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•       Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial welding power sources, wire feeders, and related electrical/mechanical systems (MIG, TIG, Stick, Submerged Arc, and/or Plasma)

•       Supervise and mentor service technicians and/or shop staff

•       Manage customer communications on repair scopes, estimates, and timelines; handle warranty claims and service inquiries

•       Perform preventative maintenance and quality control on welding and cutting equipment

•       Partner with the parts department to manage inventory and order components for repairs and overhauls

•       Enforce shop safety protocols and maintain accurate service logs

REQUIREMENTS:

•       3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing industrial welding equipment — specifically power supplies and wiring (electrical engineering-type background)

•       Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred, not required

•       Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Submerged Arc/Plasma welding equipment

•       Prior supervisory or technical leadership experience a plus
