The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to develop budgets and cost estimates from conceptual design through construction documents. This role plays a key part in preconstruction planning, pricing strategy, and project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical budgets during SD and DD phases
- Prepare detailed takeoffs and CD estimates
- Review drawings, specifications, and conceptual documents
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost opportunities
- Provide value-engineering recommendations
- Collaborate with design teams and project managers
- Maintain estimating benchmarks and cost data
Qualifications
- Strong electrical estimating experience in commercial construction
- Understanding of electrical systems and construction methods
- Experience with conceptual budgeting and CD estimating
- Proficiency with Accubid, Conest, Bluebeam, or Procore
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred:
- Electrical trade background or engineering experience
- Experience estimating from design through construction documents
