Located in Los Angeles, California, De La Calle is the leading tepache brand in the United States — a modern Mexican soda rooted in 3,000 years of fermented fruit tradition. We built the tepache category, repositioned the brand as Modern Mexican Soda, and now — with FRUTAS fully launched, velocity improving across our core retailers, and an $8M 2026 plan backed by Karp Reilly — we are scaling.


We are a lean, execution-first team. Our strongest management team to date is in place across marketing, operations, and finance. The commercial infrastructure is built: Whole Foods, Walmart, Target (1,500 doors), Albertsons, Kroger, Costco, and a growing food service channel. The job now is to drive velocity and grow revenue with discipline.

De La Calle is seeking a Vice President of Sales to join our team based in Los Angeles, CA.

This is a key leadership position, accountable for overseeing the sales strategy, the sales team, and the ultimate commercial performance of the business. This person will manage the retail and food service channels, directly own and develop national strategic accounts, be responsible for trade spend, demand forecasting, and reporting, and manage the sales budget. They will also lead distributor and broker relationships, drive expansion into new channels, and provide leadership and direction to the full sales function.


The Role

As VP of Sales, you’ll own the overall sales strategy across retail, wholesale, and key accounts. You’ll lead national expansion, deepen relationships with major retailers, and build the infrastructure needed to scale efficiently. This role requires someone who has operated at meaningful scale and can balance strategy with execution.


What You’ll Do

🛒 Own Sales Strategy – Develop and execute national sales strategy across retail, wholesale, and distribution channels

🤝 Manage Key Accounts – Build and grow relationships with major retailers, distributors, and partners

📈 Drive Revenue Growth – Lead expansion into new accounts and markets while increasing velocity in existing channels

📦 Forecast & Plan – Oversee sales forecasting, inventory alignment, and promotional planning

🧠 Build Infrastructure – Establish scalable processes, tools, and reporting systems across the sales function

👥 Lead & Grow Team – Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team


What You’ll Bring

✔️ 10+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally within CPG, beverage, or food & beverage

✔️ Proven track record scaling retail and wholesale distribution nationally

✔️ Strong relationships with key retailers and distributors

✔️ Experience managing brokers, distributors, and trade spend

✔️ Excellent negotiation, forecasting, and leadership skills

✔️ Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-growth environment
