Our client is a well-established international consumer goods company with operations in Poland, including both manufacturing and commercial structures. The company is currently looking for an experienced Finance Director who will take full ownership of the finance function in Poland, partnering closely with local and regional leadership to strengthen financial performance, improve business decision-making, and support further growth. The ideal candidate is a senior finance leader with a strong background in both manufacturing and commercial finance, able to move confidently between strategic discussions and day-to-day financial oversight. This person understands how to support growth while maintaining financial discipline, and knows how to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and leadership teams. We are looking for someone who brings a hands-on mindset, strong business judgement, and the confidence to challenge stakeholders when needed. Experience in an international environment will be highly valuable, especially in organizations where finance acts as a real business partner rather than only a reporting function.

🔸 Key responsibilities and tasks 🔸

• Lead the overall financial strategy, planning, and performance management for the business in Poland across both manufacturing and commercial operations.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial control processes, ensuring alignment between operational plans and financial targets. Deliver accurate management reporting and provide actionable insights on profitability, costs, margins, and business performance.
• Partner closely with plant leadership on operational efficiency, cost control, standard costing, CAPEX, and inventory-related topics.
• Support commercial teams with financial analysis, decision support, and business partnering to drive profitable growth.
• Oversee compliance with local statutory and tax requirements, including areas such as VAT, CIT, and transfer pricing.
• Ensure strong internal controls, governance, and cooperation with auditors, banks, and other external stakeholders.
• Drive finance process improvements, automation, and ERP-related enhancements.
• Lead, develop, and motivate the local finance team, while acting as a trusted partner for both local and regional management.

🔸 Your profile 🔸

• Several years of experience in a senior finance leadership role
• Strong background in manufacturing finance and commercial finance
• Experience in controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
• Solid knowledge of Polish statutory accounting, tax, and compliance requirements
• Ability to support both plant operations and commercial leadership
• Strong understanding of margins, profitability, cost control, and financial analysis
• Experience working in an international organization
• Leadership experience in managing and developing finance teams
• Hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent Polish and English
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Professional finance qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent will be an advantage
• ERP experience, ideally with finance transformation or system improvement exposure

• The Client offers a senior-level position with broad responsibility and exposure to international stakeholders. This role is based in Słupsk, Poland, with cooperation across both plant and commercial structures. The package includes additional benefits and bonus elements, and the final offer will depend on the candidate’s experience and overall fit. The role is best suited to candidates who can be present close to the business and its operations, especially given the importance of cooperation with the local manufacturing site and leadership team.
