🔸 The ideal candidate 🔸

The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B business development professional with a strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to generate new revenue opportunities. You are confident in developing new markets, building relationships with senior decision-makers, managing complex sales cycles, and negotiating commercial agreements. You combine a proactive, entrepreneurial approach with strong analytical skills and are comfortable working independently in an international environment.

This position is particularly suited to someone who enjoys building business from the ground up, identifying untapped opportunities, and taking ownership of the full business development lifecycle — from prospecting and qualification through proposal development and negotiation to contract closure.

  • Manage the complete business development lifecycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling, upselling, renewals, and longer-term cooperation.
  • Maintain regular engagement with customers to support retention and future business development opportunities.
  • Monitor sales pipeline value, conversion rates, client acquisition, retention, and revenue performance.
  • Monitor competitor activity, industry developments, and market trends.
  • Conduct market analysis and identify emerging commercial opportunities and potential business risks.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and negotiate commercial terms and cooperation agreements.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and product teams.
  • Coordinate proposals, pricing strategies, and customized customer solutions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline information, and activity reports.
  • Prepare regular business development performance reports for senior management.

The primary markets include Germany and the wider DACH region, Poland, Finland, Sweden and Norway, with additional business development opportunities in markets such as the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Hungary.

🔸 Your profile 🔸

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or another commercial role.

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of independence, initiative, accountability, and results orientation.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Experience in the hygiene and/or food-service sector would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences, and business development activities.
  • Ability to travel freely within the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
