Our client is a fast-growing technology company operating in the eCommerce and digital transformation space, delivering advanced solutions for international clients. They are currently looking for an experienced IT Business Development Manager (French Market, eCommerce) who will be responsible for driving new business and developing long-term client partnerships in a consultative sales model.

We are looking for a professional who not only speaks fluent French, but truly understands how to build business relationships within the French market. The ideal candidate is familiar with the cultural and communication nuances of working with French decision-makers and can confidently engage with C-level stakeholders in a partnership-driven manner. Experience gained directly within the French market is a strong asset, although not mandatory.
At the same time, you should feel comfortable navigating the technology landscape. You understand what an API is, know the difference between frontend and backend, and are familiar with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle. You don’t need to be technical, but you must be able to communicate effectively with delivery teams and translate technical solutions into clear business value.
This role is perfect for someone who combines sales excellence with consulting capabilities, thinks strategically, takes ownership, and proactively drives growth.
🔸 Key Responsibilities 🔸
You will be responsible for end-to-end new business development in the French market – from active prospecting (outbound activities, networking, industry events, LinkedIn), through lead qualification and discovery, to analyzing business and technological needs, preparing offers in cooperation with the technical team, negotiating terms, and closing contracts.
In parallel, you will manage and grow existing key accounts by building long-term relationships with decision-makers (CEO, CTO, Head of eCommerce, Digital Manager), identifying new business opportunities, and driving upsell and cross-sell initiatives (e.g. new functionalities, platform development, long-term support). Conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and ensuring retention and profitability will be an important part of your responsibilities.
The role also includes a consulting dimension – advising clients on eCommerce platform development, technology architecture, business scaling, and integrations (ERP, PIM, CRM, marketplaces). You will work closely with Delivery and Project Management teams, participate in strategic workshops, and monitor project profitability.
