Regional Sales Manager – Industrial & Protective Packaging Solutions

Territory: Northern California & Northern Nevada

Remote | Territory-Based | Travel Approximately 25–40%

An established and growing manufacturer of industrial packaging and protective shipping solutions is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead business development efforts across Northern California and Northern Nevada.

This is a unique opportunity to inherit an existing book of business while aggressively expanding market share in a territory with significant untapped potential. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing customer relationships and pursuing new opportunities with distributors, manufacturers, and end users.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of customer accounts throughout the territory
  • Develop new business opportunities with both distributors and end users
  • Build long-term relationships that drive repeat business and customer loyalty
  • Identify opportunities to expand product penetration within existing accounts
  • Conduct customer meetings, product presentations, and solution-based sales discussions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and execution
  • Maintain pipeline activity, forecasts, and account information within CRM systems
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Travel throughout the territory as needed to support customers and prospecting efforts

  • Consistently developing new business opportunities across the territory
  • Building strong relationships with both distribution partners and direct customers
  • Achieving and exceeding annual sales objectives
  • Expanding market share within a region that offers substantial growth potential

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Proven ability to develop new business while managing existing accounts
  • Experience selling through distribution channels is highly desirable
  • Background in industrial products, building materials, manufacturing, packaging, flooring, print, or related industries preferred
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Experience using CRM tools and managing a sales pipeline
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $90,000–$110,000
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • Typical first-year earnings: $130,000–$165,000+
  • Established customer base from day one

Location Requirements

Candidates must reside within the territory, with preference given to those located near:

  • San Francisco Bay Area
  • Oakland / East Bay
  • Sacramento Region
  • Other major Northern California markets
