Rainier Recruiting has partnered with a marine services company that is seeking a new Marine Diesel Mechanic to join a team that services commercial and private vessels. This position involves performing repairs, overhauls, and maintenance on marine diesel engines and related equipment.. Location: Port Townsend, WA. Employees must be able to come onsite daily.
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, flexible start times
Pay: $40 – $45 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and complete mechanical repairs as directed.
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, generators, and other components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Remove and install diesel engines, including Mitsubishi and Caterpillar models.
- Document all work clearly and accurately, ensuring records are complete and compliant with requirements.
- Report any safety issues, equipment concerns, or operational observations to management.
- Complete assigned work orders promptly while maintaining high quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Marine Diesel Mechanic.
- Strong background in engine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
