The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading the growth of the organization’s product portfolio. This role focuses on increasing product awareness, consumer adoption, and purchase frequency by developing strategic marketing initiatives grounded in consumer data and insights.This position will identify high-potential product segments and target audiences through data analysis, then build and execute marketing strategies to capitalize on those opportunities. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to drive product success through 360-degree marketing efforts that include brand messaging, digital presence, partnerships, promotions, and media engagement. Location: Coral Springs, FL. This position is 100% onsite, 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Consumer Insights & Market Analysis
- Conduct and interpret both proprietary and syndicated data to discover growth opportunities by product type, audience behavior, and geographic region.
- Develop detailed consumer segments based on habits, attitudes, demographics, and needs.
Product Strategy & Marketing
- Recommend updates to messaging, pricing, and formulations based on competitor trends and consumer preferences.
- Use behavioral data to identify product lifecycle and customer journey opportunities, optimizing repeat purchases and cross-selling.
- Partner with product development teams to create compelling claims and differentiated offerings that expand household penetration.
- Lead project management for new product launches and core product initiatives using a comprehensive marketing approach.
Brand Campaigns & Creative Content
- Contribute to the annual marketing calendar with the aim of increasing brand distinctiveness and consumer engagement.
- Guide the creation of impactful product messaging across various channels including digital, social media, influencer programs, affiliate partnerships, and public relations.
- Manage campaign execution from initial briefing through creative development, media placement, and results analysis.
- Support trade marketing efforts by aligning messaging and tactics with online, retail, and partner platforms.
- Manage marketing budgets efficiently to maximize ROI while building long-term brand equity.
Media & Promotion
- Oversee execution of paid and earned media campaigns with support from internal and external media and PR teams.
- Establish tracking systems to measure effectiveness and optimize marketing investments.
- Ensure all media efforts contribute to achieving growth targets within the allocated budget.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, manage, and develop the Product Management team.
- Set clear goals and meaningful performance indicators that reflect a deep understanding of how to influence consumer behavior.
- Direct team focus toward the most valuable opportunities using data-informed decision-making and a consumer-first approach.
Additional Duties
- May be assigned additional business responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Professional Experience
- Minimum 7 years in product management within consumer goods, ideally in a regulated industry.
- Experience with direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels is a plus.
- Proven ability to develop innovative products, market claims, and trial-driving strategies.
- Strong understanding of consumer motivation and ability to uncover unmet market needs.
- Highly analytical with a firm grasp of brand, product, and consumer metrics.
- Demonstrated success in using paid media, influencer partnerships, and affiliate networks to drive product growth.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
