About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a private equity-backed, mid-market digital platform company operating in high-volume, transaction-driven environments. The business generates revenue across multiple channels with complex unit economics and is currently undergoing a meaningful operational transformation.
This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the CFO. The organization is in a rebuild phase and is investing heavily in upgrading its finance function, systems, and team capabilities to support scalable growth and future strategic outcomes.

Accounting Leadership & Governance
- Own the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on timeliness and quality
- Lead external audit processes and maintain strong relationships with auditors
- Establish and enforce accounting policies, controls, and risk management frameworks
- Serve as the final authority on accounting decisions and technical matters
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with FP&A, Sales, Operations, Technology, and Legal to ensure clean data flows and scalable processes
- Ensure accounting considerations are embedded upstream in business operations
- Translate financial and accounting concepts into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
- Support strategic initiatives including system upgrades, process redesign, and potential M&A activity
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, develop, and scale a multi-functional accounting organization (GL, AP, AR, etc.)
- Assess current team capabilities and elevate overall performance through coaching, hiring, and restructuring as needed
- Establish clear ownership, accountability, and performance expectations across the team
- Build a culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and execution
