Director of Sales, Mid-Market

Location: Bellevue, WA (100% Onsite)

A high-growth, cloud-based technology company is seeking a Director of Sales to lead new business acquisition within the mid-market segment. This organization delivers a comprehensive software platform that helps service-based businesses streamline operations, improve customer engagement, and drive measurable revenue growth.

This is a highly visible leadership role focused on building a disciplined, performance-driven sales organization. The right leader will bring structure, accountability, and intensity to a team operating in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

Own New Revenue Growth

  • Lead all net-new business development across the mid-market segment
  • Drive consistent pipeline generation, deal progression, and close rates
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and proactively manage performance risks

Lead and Elevate a Sales Team

  • Manage and develop a team of 6 Account Executives
  • Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability measures
  • Implement structured processes to improve consistency, execution, and results
  • Coach reps to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics

Drive a Data-First Sales Culture

  • Use data to inform decisions, diagnose gaps, and improve performance
  • Instill a culture of measurable achievement and daily accountability
  • Lead rigorous pipeline reviews, forecast calls, and performance management cadences

Champion Value-Based Selling

  • Reinforce a Challenger-style sales approach focused on business impact and ROI
  • Inspect deals for quality, alignment, and execution strategy
  • Ensure the team sells outcomes—not features or price

Act as a Voice of the Market

  • Provide direct feedback to product and leadership teams based on customer insights
  • Advocate for what the sales team needs to win in the market
  • Bring a strong, opinionated perspective on go-to-market strategy and execution

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of SaaS sales leadership experience (B2B SaaS background required; industry experience not necessary)
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing, quota-carrying sales teams
  • Strong operational discipline with deep experience in pipeline management and forecasting
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process, structure, and accountability within a sales organization
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on measurable performance and continuous improvement
  • Confident, vocal leadership style with the ability to challenge internally and advocate for results

Business & Team Metrics

  • Team size: 6 Account Executives
  • Individual AE quota: ~$25K in new monthly recurring revenue per quarter
  • Typical sales cycle: ~30 days
  • Environment: high-velocity, metrics-driven, and performance-focused

Compensation

  • Base salary: $120,000 – $150,000
  • Target earnings structured approximately 50/50 base and variable
