Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a global, $100m consumer goods company in the wellness and personal health space is seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to oversee its digital commerce and online marketplace operations. The Director of eCommerce and Marketplaces is responsible for directing the strategy, performance, and execution across all DTC (direct-to-consumer) platforms, digital marketplaces (e.g., Amazon), and supporting CRM, loyalty, and digital marketing initiatives.
Reporting to the CRO, this individual will manage a cross-functional team and play a critical role in optimizing digital acquisition, customer retention, and revenue growth through data-driven strategies, high-impact campaigns, and an exceptional online experience. Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual salary: $150,000–$200,000 plus 30%+ percent bonus (negotiable).

Location: Bellevue, WA. This position is onsite Monday-Thursday with an option to work-from-home on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the financial performance (P&L) of the DTC website and marketplace channels, including net sales, gross margin, customer acquisition costs, and operating expenses.
- Drive new customer growth and long-term loyalty through targeted, multi-channel campaigns, leveraging paid media, affiliates, influencers, organic content, and lifecycle marketing.
- Lead strategic planning and activation across e-commerce platforms to maximize traffic, engagement, conversion, and customer lifetime value.
- Oversee customer acquisition funnel from awareness to advocacy, developing programs that elevate prospects into brand advocates through content, community, and experience.
- Develop and implement a segmented CRM and retention strategy to reduce churn and drive repeat purchases.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align site initiatives with broader brand campaigns, product launches, and seasonal calendars.
- Ensure consistent brand and customer experiences across all digital touchpoints, including websites, marketplaces, email, social, and paid media.
- Lead optimization efforts around on-site UX, content, product merchandising, conversion, and checkout flow.
- Utilize analytics and A/B testing to evaluate performance and improve customer journeys across channels.
- Identify new packaging, pricing, and promotional strategies to enhance value and differentiation in the digital space.
- Build and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing and e-commerce, ideally in CPG, wellness, or other consumer-focused industries.
- Proven track record leading P&L ownership for DTC websites and marketplaces, including Amazon and/or other major platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to scale customer acquisition and retention through performance marketing and content-driven channels.
- Deep understanding of performance marketing tactics including paid social, SEM, affiliate, and influencer channels.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive strategic decisions and optimizations.
- Experience developing and executing CRM and loyalty programs, with measurable impact on LTV and retention.
- Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities, capable of aligning teams and influencing stakeholders.
