Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a well known commercial office furniture dealer who is seeking an Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations, including inventory, delivery services, refurbishing, storage, and facility maintenance. This role ensures that products are efficiently received, stored, and dispatched, aligning with the organization’s standards for service and cost control. This leader will also oversee teams across warehousing and field operations, focusing on workforce development, productivity, safety, and quality assurance. In partnership with executive leadership, the Operations Manager will support strategic planning, budget oversight, and ensure all equipment and facilities are properly maintained. Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary $100,000 to $120,000 plus bonus (negotiable).

Location: 100% onsite in Kent, WA.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management

  • Lead warehouse and field service teams, including subcontractors, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project completion.
  • Foster a positive team environment by mentoring and developing staff, resolving disputes, and encouraging professional growth.
  • Conduct site visits and customer meetings to assess quality and progress.
  • Manage hiring, training, performance reviews, and employee development initiatives.

Operational Oversight

  • Implement and improve warehouse and field service procedures.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as sales, project coordination, and design to plan and execute operations.
  • Track performance metrics to identify efficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee product handling, staging, loading/unloading, transportation, and inventory accuracy.

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Organize regular safety training and ensure a secure, hazard-free work environment.
  • Lead safety programs, including HAZMAT protocols and monthly meetings.

Facility & Equipment Management

  • Supervise upkeep of buildings, grounds, and operational equipment.
  • Coordinate shipping/receiving processes and maintain physical security at warehouse locations.

Communication & Culture

  • Represent the operations team in internal meetings and customer-facing discussions.
  • Promote organizational values, collaboration, and a high-performance culture.


Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a collaborative management style.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and handling tools; ability to guide technical execution.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced settings with shifting priorities.
  • Strong customer service orientation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving strengths.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safety-first mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening (in accordance with state law).

Preferred Experience

  • College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of relevant leadership or operational experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial furniture systems is beneficial.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs with equipment assistance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and operational management software.
