Quality Assurance Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead inspection and quality activities within a precision manufacturing environment supporting highly regulated industries. This role is responsible for overseeing incoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring compliance with established quality standards, and maintaining accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical inspection experience, leadership capability, and a deep understanding of quality systems in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure product quality and compliance
  • Interpret and work from complex technical drawings, including GD&T and assembly requirements
  • Perform and review visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on machined components and assemblies
  • Accept or reject materials based on inspection results and ensure proper documentation of findings
  • Prepare and review quality documentation including inspection reports, certifications, and compliance records
  • Ensure adherence to industry quality standards, including first article inspection requirements
  • Supervise and mentor a team of quality inspectors, providing guidance and oversight
  • Participate in material review processes and support resolution of nonconforming products
  • Verify compliance of incoming materials, outside processing, and finished goods
  • Review purchase orders and documentation to ensure alignment with engineering specifications
  • Witness and verify required testing procedures as specified by engineering requirements
  • Maintain compliance with internal quality systems and procedures

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing inspection within a regulated environment (aerospace experience preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001 and/or AS9100
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including detailed assembly drawings and tolerances
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
  • Experience in a machining environment; welding inspection experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Additional Information

  • Safety footwear (steel or composite toe) required in accordance with industry standards
  • This position may include additional responsibilities as needed to support business operations
