Compensation: $120,000 - $200,000 base salary (negotiable based on experience) plus bonus and equity.

Location: In-office 5 days a week in San Francisco. Candidates must live in the San Francisco area and be willing to work primarily onsite.

You’ll be the first senior recruiting hire, responsible for building the talent function from the ground up as the company scales aggressively over the next year. This role offers high ownership, direct partnership with founders and engineering leadership, and the chance to shape hiring standards, processes, and culture from day one.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for engineering and technical roles in a high-growth startup environment. You’ll design sourcing strategies, build recruiting infrastructure, and partner closely with leaders to scale the team while maintaining an extremely high talent bar.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ambiguity, moves quickly, and thrives in hands-on, builder-style environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, from sourcing through close
  • Develop creative and proactive sourcing strategies to attract top-tier engineering talent
  • Partner with hiring managers to define roles, align on priorities, and close candidates
  • Build recruiting processes and infrastructure, including tooling and interview workflows
  • Use data and feedback to continuously improve hiring outcomes and candidate experience

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience
  • Background recruiting at high-growth startups (Series A–E preferred)
  • Experience building or scaling recruiting functions from scratch
  • Exposure to talent-dense engineering environments is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of technical roles and engineering skill sets
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Highly scrappy, proactive, and willing to do the hard work required early on
  • Collaborative partner to founders and engineering leadership

  • Prefer highly structured, established environments only
  • Avoid hands-on sourcing or early-stage operational work
