Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a Series B startup in the AI space building a platform to help teams win AI search. Their platform empowers teams to move faster than competitors, improve visibility, and reach consumers more effectively through AI-powered discovery. This is a company with multiple openigns due to growth. Passive candidates who are employed and curious to hear are more than welcome to have a “no-commitment” conversation with our Recruiting team about why this could be an exciting career opportunity.

Compensation: $160,000–$200,000 base salary + competitive equity

Location: Hybrid in either New York City or San Francisco

A new Product Engineering role has opened due to continued growth at this fast-moving AI search and content automation startup. We’re looking for a product-oriented engineer to design, prototype, and ship user-facing features that feel “magical” in both capability and polish. In this role, you’ll partner closely with design, product, data, and engineering stakeholders to rapidly explore ideas and bring high-impact features to production at startup speed. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys fast iteration cycles, and wants to help shape the future of an emerging category.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and launch AI-powered product features—from early concepts to fully scaled capabilities.
  • Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate solutions quickly, and iterate based on real-world usage.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to take features from concept to production in a fast-moving, highly iterative environment.
  • Navigate ambiguity effectively and define what to build when the path forward isn’t fully clear.
  • Stay on top of new research and emerging tooling to identify opportunities to deliver delightful, high-impact experiences.
  • Maintain strong performance and reliability across systems as features scale and adoption grows.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of fullstack or product engineering experience, including shipping production-grade software in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated 0→1 experience—either as a founding engineer or early hire in unstructured, rapid-growth settings.
  • Exposure to workflow-heavy, data-driven, MarTech, or AdTech products is beneficial.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Comfortable working across the full stack, including infrastructure, backend, and frontend components.
  • Strong Python proficiency and experience building or integrating LLM/ML-powered product features.
  • Familiarity with NLP techniques such as embeddings, semantic search, and text analysis.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate user problems into product direction.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable engaging directly with customers.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and excels at bringing clarity to fast-changing, undefined problem spaces.
