Reconstruction Project Director (Disaster Restoration)

📍 Greater Seattle Area (North End) | 🏢 Primarily Onsite

💰 $80,000 – $110,000 Base + Performance Bonuses (OTE $120K–$160K+)

Why This Role Is Compelling

  • Step into a leadership role at one of the highest-performing restoration operations in the region
  • High-volume environment with consistent project flow (100+ jobs/year)
  • Performance-driven bonus structure (top performers earning $60K–$80K+ in incentives)
  • Clear path to senior leadership as the organization continues to scale
  • Strong operational support with established field teams and infrastructure

About the Role

We are hiring a Project Director to lead residential reconstruction projects following water and fire damage. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where success comes from directing teams, solving problems quickly, and driving projects to completion—not micromanaging.

You will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, partnering with estimators, field teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure work is completed on time, on budget, and to quality standards.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in urgency, enjoys ownership, and can confidently lead teams through complex, time-sensitive restoration work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee 30–40 active reconstruction projects at a time
  • Direct Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to execute work efficiently
  • Lead projects from initial inspection through final completion
  • Partner with estimators to align scope, budgets, and timelines
  • Ensure projects are restored to pre-loss condition (not high-end remodel work)
  • Drive project profitability, timelines, and customer satisfaction
  • Act as the primary escalation point for issues, delays, and client concerns
  • Manage documentation, approvals, and communication with stakeholders
  • Balance field presence (~30%) with office-based coordination

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience in restoration, reconstruction, or high-volume residential construction
  • Strong understanding of insurance-driven repair projects (water/fire damage preferred)
  • Proven ability to run multiple jobs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership mindset—someone who can direct teams and drive outcomes
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a role that is not strictly 8–5 (projects move fast)

Compensation & Structure

  • Base: $80K–$110K (depending on experience)
  • Bonus: ~3% tied to project performance and completion
  • Typical earnings: $20K–$30K bonuses (top performers significantly higher)

Additional Details

  • Mix of office + field work
  • High-volume residential focus (bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, structural repairs)
  • Background check required (extensive history review)
