A rapidly growing advanced manufacturing company is expanding operations in Tucson and building a new production team. We are seeking several hands-on Assembly Technicians to support the manufacturing and assembly of high-performance electrical components used in cutting-edge energy and industrial applications.

This position begins as a contract assignment with a strong possibility of permanent employment.

Position Overview

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, testing, and inspecting components and subassemblies in a manufacturing environment. You will work with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Successful candidates will be dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable performing repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining high levels of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to work instructions and production requirements
  • Perform repetitive assembly processes while maintaining quality standards
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and production equipment
  • Complete taping, assembly, and basic joining operations, including soldering and plastic welding when required
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
  • Perform functional testing of completed assemblies
  • Identify defects and assist with troubleshooting and corrective actions
  • Accurately document production activities and inspection results
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to meet production goals
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives as production scales

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or technician experience preferred
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Basic soldering experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes
  • Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Forklift or material handling experience is a plus
  • Crane experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and assembly tasks
  • Ability to work in a production manufacturing environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
  • Overtime opportunities available

Schedule
