You'll partner closely with Operations and Asset Management, deliver accurate financials to internal stakeholders and external property owners, and help us build scalable, tech-enabled finance operations as we grow.
This role reports directly to our VP of Finance and will manage one team member.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and present timely, accurate financial reports (monthly, annual, and ad hoc) for your assigned portfolio to internal stakeholders and external property owners.
- Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process for your portfolio, partnering with Operations and Asset Management.
- Own the general ledger for your assigned region; independently complete higher-complexity accounting work.
- Present financial insights clearly and actionably to support good decision-making by operations and asset management teams.
- Ensure compliance with the financial terms of property contracts (management agreements, lease agreements, etc.).
- Prepare owner-facing financial statements in compliance with management agreement terms.
- Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario planning to support business decisions.
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of reconciliations completed by our centralized/offshore accounting team.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives; partner with offshore team members to identify and implement efficiencies.
- Build strong relationships with regional teams as the go-to contact for accounting matters; lead regular financial review meetings.
- Deliver a high level of service and responsiveness to property partners and internal teams.
What Success Looks Like
- Full ownership of your portfolio, with accurate, timely, and complete financials.
- Strong, collaborative relationships across Ops, property partners, and Finance.
- Deep working knowledge of your properties and their contract terms.
- Clear, confident communication at all levels of the organization.
- Independent operation in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- A continuous drive to improve processes and build scalable finance operations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience in the hospitality industry (required).
- Experience managing accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of 10+ hotels, vacation rentals, or hospitality properties simultaneously (required). This could come from hotel companies, vacation rental operators, or property management firms.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience owning annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for a multi-property portfolio.
- Experience presenting financials, budgets, and business insights to property owners or other external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and business-partnering skills, with the ability to identify financial risks and recommend solutions.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems.
- Comfort using technology and AI tools to automate and improve finance workflows.
- 100% fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work hours that overlap with U.S. Pacific through Eastern time zones (some flexibility on overlap available).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
