Executive Director, Assisted Living

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, relationship-driven, and experienced Executive Director to lead the day-to-day operations of a vibrant Assisted Living community located just south of Charlotte, SC.
This leader will be highly visible within the community—building meaningful connections with residents, engaging families, and developing a high-performing team of caregivers. The Executive Director is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming environment where quality care, operational excellence, and resident engagement are the top priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Community Leadership & Operations
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the community, ensuring high-quality resident care and service delivery
- Foster a positive, engaging, and resident-centered environment that promotes dignity, independence, and joy
- Maintain compliance with all state regulations, policies, and licensing requirements
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate all team members
- Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship, and performance management to ensure excellence in care and service
- Promote a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and recognition
Resident & Family Engagement
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and visitors
- Ensure a positive move-in experience by overseeing admissions, transitions, and resident onboarding
- Address concerns proactively and maintain high satisfaction levels
Financial & Business Management
- Manage community budget and ensure financial performance meets established goals
- Monitor occupancy, support census growth, and collaborate on marketing initiatives
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage operational expenses
HR & Administrative Oversight
- Oversee HR-related functions including scheduling, onboarding, training, and compliance
- Coordinate staff meetings, training sessions, and communication initiatives
- Review incident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up and documentation
Qualifications
- Must meet South Carolina licensure requirements for an Assisted Living/Community Residential Care Facility (CRCF) Administrator
- Proven leadership experience in assisted living, senior living, or long-term care
- Strong understanding of state regulations, compliance, and quality standards
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, staff development, and employee engagement
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational performance
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Additional Requirements:
- Clear criminal background check
- TB screening (as required)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Executive Director or Administrator experience
- Track record of improving occupancy and resident satisfaction
- Experience in a smaller, relationship-driven senior living environment
