As a Survey Project Manager in our client's Charlotte, NC office, you’ll support and lead a variety of surveying projects while working closely with a Licensed Surveyor and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll manage project workflows, including crew scheduling, daily assignments, and the development of deed work maps and base maps. You’ll apply your expertise in ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, boundary surveys, topographic mapping, construction layout, and GPS surveying to deliver high-quality results. You’ll primarily work in the office, with occasional field involvement, contributing to the successful execution of survey projects and integrated client solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage survey projects, including scheduling field crews, coordinating daily assignments, and overseeing project deliverables
- Prepare and review deed research, boundary analysis, base maps, and survey documentation
- Provide technical oversight, including quality assurance/quality control of survey procedures and final work products
- Support business development efforts and contribute to the growth of survey services through client engagement and internal collaboration
- Collaborate with other company practices to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary project solutions
- Mentor and train survey staff, supporting professional development and assisting with recruiting efforts
- Promote and maintain safety standards and consistent procedures across field and office survey operations
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of land surveying experience
- Professional Surveyor license or ability to obtain licensure
- Experience managing survey projects including proposal preparation, budgeting, and billing review
- Knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and emerging technologies
- Effectively communicate through written and verbal formats
- Lead, mentor, and develop survey staff
Preferred Capabilities:
- Experience with ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys and complex boundary analysis
- Demonstrated success supporting business development and client relationship management
- Experience collaborating with engineering and environmental teams on multidisciplinary projects
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Interest in growing survey services through networking and marketing initiatives
