The President will lead a primarily North American business, report to the company CEO and work closely with the global leadership team. The mandate is growth. Our client has an established book of business and strong technical delivery; this role exists to scale it — deepening key accounts, opening new sectors and geographies across the U.S. and Canada, and expanding the mix of products, services, and integrated programs. The President owns the P&L, sets the commercial strategy, and leads the operations and staff that deliver on it.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Direction
- Set and execute the strategic vision for North American operations in line with company goals.
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, and long‑range growth initiatives.
- Provide executive oversight of business performance, profitability, and market expansion.
- Shape team structure, staffing plans, and how resources are deployed to support growth.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across core and emerging sectors.
- Oversee development of proposals, presentations, and client‑specific strategies.
- Lead company‑wide collaboration on major client initiatives and strategic pursuits.
- Provide market intelligence to support R&D, innovation, and introduction of new technologies and services.
- Track and report quarterly business development metrics, including pipeline health, wins/losses, and strategic opportunities.
Operational & Project Oversight
- Ensure successful delivery of all sold programs, maintaining high standards for quality, communication, and client satisfaction.
- Oversee project management workflows, load forecasting, and delivery initiatives.
- Partner with finance to support invoicing, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Direct supervisors and managers in resource planning, workload balance, and staff development.
- Collaborate with head office on data management, systems integration, and operational improvements.
Governance & Administration
- Maintain compliance with all company registrations, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with HR to ensure optimal performance, engagement, and development of staff.
- Ensure strong internal communication, accountability, and alignment across all departments.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience, including executive‑level responsibility.
- Proven success in business development within the geospatial sector.
- Experience working with clients in utilities/energy, forestry, infrastructure, mining, environmental, marine, oil/gas, or the public sector.
- Strong technical understanding of geospatial workflows, enabling effective communication with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage complex operations, and grow the business.
- Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and a track record of delivering measurable results.
