Associate Account Manager (Water Management)


Position Title: Associate Account Manager (AAM)

Reporting To: Director of Account Managers

Location: This is a hybrid position requiring travel in the Miami, FL metro area and working remotely from home. Also there is a role open in Seattle, Washington.


Position Summary


As an integral part of the Go-to-Market Team, the Associate Account Manager (AAM) is charged with owning, maintaining, and growing existing business while delivering the scope of work for existing clients. The role includes ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction for current customers.

As directed by the Director of Account Managers, and in support of Enterprise Sales opportunities, the AAM will also support enterprise accounts. This includes retention and satisfaction of existing enterprise customers as well as supporting new enterprise opportunities.

In delivering the scope of work, the AAM will assist with leading the development, facilitation, and reassessments of water management programs on assigned accounts within the region. They will either direct or support the deployment of a Water Management Specialist (WMS/WME), with corporate oversight on profitability.


Key Responsibilities


Client Support

Provide effective and efficient service and retention of existing client relationships within the assigned region/territory, including but not limited to:

  • Delivering on the scope of work sold
  • Leading water management teams on development, facilitation, and reassessments
  • Obtaining contract renewals and purchase orders
  • Conducting annual business reviews
  • Expansion-selling and cross-selling to increase revenue on existing accounts


Margin Maintenance

  • Work closely with the Director of Account Managers to obtain price increases as warranted to maintain or exceed margin expectations.


New Business Support

  • Collaborate with the Director of Account Managers and Enterprise Sales executives to develop new business opportunities and support existing business.


Product Knowledge

  • Work closely with the Director of Account Managers and support teams (Operations, Marketing) to stay current on products, processes, and approaches.
  • Leverage these insights in client interactions and business development support.


Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Utilize PowerBI, phiAnalytics, and other tools to support decision-making for the Director of Account Managers and Enterprise Sales.
  • Track client-facing performance metrics and identify areas for growth.


Water Management Program Deliverables

  • Develop program documentation with regional and corporate sales team members, including program development, assessment, and facilitation aligned with regulatory drivers.
  • Support documentation of site information, WMPs, meeting notes, and internal records to ensure complete project files.
  • Facilitate Water Management Team meetings and promote engagement.
  • Conduct water system surveys for programs of varying size and scope.
  • Manage timelines to ensure on-time delivery of program deliverables.
  • Follow internal quality processes to confirm defensible documentation.
  • Collect, assimilate, and analyze data to generate WMPs.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; STEM degree preferred but not required
  • Direct experience with sales processes and understanding of relevant products, processes, and markets
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to collaborate with sales teams and client stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of service delivery processes (PASL, phiAnalytics, Operations, etc.)
  • Awareness of the client lifecycle and timing for introducing new products/services
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement through structured training

Key Deliverables

  • Ensure all water management programs are defensible in partnership with the Senior Director of Account Management
  • Free Business Development Managers (BDMs) from account administration to focus on new business development
  • Position leadership to drive accelerated, profitable top-line growth in their markets
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention by delivering the scope of work so effectively that they become “delighted clients”
  • Identify upsell opportunities within existing accounts, including equipment upgrades, automated verification solutions, sterile processing water management, and validation testing
